For Existing Members – how to make a Family Group

SLSA has initiated “Family Groups” to allow for bulk management of data and for renewing the membership of all members of a “Family Group” in one transaction. 

A “Family Group” can be created if all members that you wish to join to the group are already existing members of Cudgen Headland SLSC.  The “Primary” member (Mum/Dad/Carer) first creates a Portal account then applies to create a family group.  Once the group has been approved by the club the primary member can join family members to it.

During the registration process you will be able to use an Active Kids Voucher to reduce your child’s membership fee – please go to their website first to collect your voucher BY CLICKING HERE. Instructions for using the voucher are in the link below

U6’s – U7’s: $165 or $65 if redeeming an Active Kids Voucher
U8’s – U14’s: $245 or $145 if redeeming an
Active Kids Voucher
Nippers Family 3 or more Children: $600 or $300 if 3 Active Kids Vouchers are used / $200 if 4 Active Kids vouchers used
(Please note this does not include parents registration fee)
Parents: $19 Active Associate Membership
It is essential that at least one parent per family join as an Active Associate member which entitles you to use of club facilities, life saving award training, insurance cover for all approved surf life saving activities and entitles you to receive 10% discount on food and beverages in our Club. Parents are not allowed to assist or participate without Insurance so we encourage you to join, and join the fun!

Please note that as part of your registration fees all Nippers will receive a Club rashie, a Club terry towelling bucket hat and a Club SPF30 long sleeve shirt.


Age groups are determined as follows: EG: if you child is 8yrs old on the 30th September he/she will go into the Under 9 age group

NOTE: Children must have turned 5 years of age by 30th September of the joining year to participate. All new nippers must bring proof of Age (Birth Certificate or Passport) to the club for sighting by the administration officer.

U14 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2007 & 30th Sep 2008

U13 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2008 & 30th Sep 2009

U12 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2009 & 30th Sep 2010

U11 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2010 & 30th Sep 2011

U10 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2011 & 30th Sep 2012

U9 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2012 & 30th Sep 2013

U8 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2013 & 30th Sep 2014

U7 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2014 & 30th Sep 2015

U6 Date of Birth falls between 1st Oct 2015 & 30th Sept 2016

OCEAN PROFICIENCY will be held at the CLUB – SUNDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER – 8:30AM to 9:30AM

All nippers need to complete a pool proficiency swim prior to commencing nippers in the ocean.

Members can also download the Pool Proficiency Form below and have it signed off by a qualified assessor at any of our local pools. Also note that this can be filled out during any squad or organised swim session that children may already be attending.

Note: Under 6 & Under 7 Nippers will be provided with a high visibility rash vest and a coloured cap – this is included in their fees
Under 8’s to Under 14 Nippers will be provided with high visibility rash vest as part of their fees. Nippers will also need a club cap & swimwear for competition.
New nippers will be provided with an age group coloured cap free of charge
The Club Uniform shop will be open on Ocean Proficiency Day – Sunday 19th September 8.30am

The Uniform shop is open early most Sunday Mornings at the start of the season so parents can collect the apparel they have ordered online – or by arrangement during the week – please contact merchandise@cudgenslsc.org.au to organise early collection or try on sizes etc

– Pink high visibility long sleeve vest – $35
– Cudgen Club Competition cap – $15

On the Nippers Registration help days you will be required to bring the following with you so the paperwork can be finalised before activities start:

  1. Completed pool proficiency form – signed by qualified assessor (refer to the form)
  2. Proof of identification for new nippers (birth certificate, passport etc) – this is a once off requirement for new members only
  3. A copy of your receipt for payment of joining fees (online joining process can take payments by credit card)
